BORN FROM A LONGING FOR CONNECTION,
STRONGER THAN THE WIFI.
The Papergoods was born from a quiet rebellion against speed and noise. In an attempt to slow down a world that’s always swiping, scrolling, typing, The Papergoods offers the opposite: a small refuge for people who like their details considered, their pace slower, and their words worth keeping.
From a personal longing for the days when a store visit came with a coffee, when type was placed by hand, and a letter was read and reread until the fold wore thin and the page had to be taped back together. It grew out of a nostalgia for the time before the Nokia, for ink stains on fingertips, and when choosing a new pen was a seasonal ritual. To write instead of type. I was raised on the romance of the printed word and the belief that design can slow the world down, even if just for the time it takes to open an envelope (remember the letter opener?) and let words linger.
The Papergoods is a stationery house for people who want things to feel personal again. For those who believe a message should last longer than a notification. For anyone who misses the ceremony of taking time: browsing slowly, selecting paper, chosing your words wisely and sitting down to write something that will be kept.
The Papergoods is a passion project by Lisbeth Antoine, a Belgian graphic designer whose practice lives between nostalgia and modern clarity. After years shaping identities for fashion, food and culture brands —always with an eye for tradition and quiet detail— she craved a more personal, slower realm. The Papergoods brings that sensibility into the intimate world of correspondence: creating stationery that is designed with care, beautifully produced, and worthy of being kept long after the ink has dried.

NOTES
Why This Set Costs What It Does
Our stationery follows the tradition of the great paper houses: names carefully typeset, proofs prepared for your approval, and every piece printed on the finest Colorplan or Old Mill stock, papers long favoured by designers and stationers for their weight, texture, and enduring beauty.
Nothing at The Papergoods is mass-printed. Each order is treated as a small edition: your name composed in timeless typography, a digital proof sent for review, and every sheet and envelope printed, trimmed and finished by hand before being presented in elegant, gift-ready packaging.
Ordering through a generic printshop means sourcing your own design, choosing paper blindly, and paying separately for file setup — often at a similar or higher cost. At The Papergoods, you receive considered design, curated paper, and a seamless, old-world service brought into the present day.

Bespoke Print Finishes?
At the moment, our stationery sets are printed in timeless black ink. For those wanting something more luxurous such as a blind embossing, gold foil, or letterpress; we collaborate with specialist print ateliers who can elevate your chosen design into a collector’s edition.
These finishes are available by special request only. If you’d like to explore a bespoke upgrade, get in touch via the contact form and we’ll guide you through the possibilities of a bespoke finish. The specialty printing options are priced individually, depending on the finish. Bespoke upgrades typically begin at a higher tier than our standard sets, but we’ll guide you through options to suit your vision.
